The application
TCM's program structure is based upon the operational sequences of count data processing. It focuses on count data administration for user-friendly traffic count management, qualitative and quantitative data checking, including an option for individual data input and comprehensive reports combined with flexible reporting.
Count site management
Manage all your count sites centrally: Metadata, information on systems and locations, documents and photos. In addition to a filterable list, you have access to an interactive map, providing additional guidance.
Data checking
Visualise your traffic count data by means of clearly structured diagrams and a selection of views. Identify and control implausible data or close data gaps with appropriate representatives.
Data entry
Manage your short-term counts with TCM and view all information on your next count dates at a glance. Import count data directly or from other files (e.g. MS Excel) using copy and paste.
Reports
Resort to standard reports to create important key value reports as MS Excel files at the push of a button, including the right charts. Or define your own reports using TCM's Universal Export function which allows you to create your own spreadsheets via drag and drop and to use your own MS Excel templates for fully customized reports.
System architecture
TrafficCountManagement consists of three core components, i.e. database, application server and user interface.
Database
Traffic counters can generate vast data volumes. TCM enables you to access billions of data records swiftly and reliably by using Oracle, MS SQL Server or the free PostgreSQL database system.
Application Server
The application server runs all calculations in the database. Its tasks include preparation of raw data sent from the count sites as well as calculation of key values and additional values. The application server imports new data and checks data plausibility.
User Interface
TCM features a clear and user-friendly user interface. Site management, data plausibilisation and enty as well as report generation can be performed efficiently using the desktop client application.
