GIS applications with VISUM
Short description
VISUM is a platform for transport planning and traffic engineering applications. Additionally, it provides various classic GIS (Geographic Information Systems) applications. You can also manage large amounts of land use data or "Points of interest" data in VISUM. This is why functions (e.g. the intersect operation) were developed that allow you to combine traffic-related data (e.g. volumes or accessibilities) with the above mentioned data. In this course you will learn how to use various GIS functions for planning purposes. You will also create thematic maps for your transport studies and enrich them with background maps and images.
Target group
The course addresses all VISUM users that wish to combine spatial data and traffic-related data to perform additional analyses and create high-quality graphical reports.
