Short description

Primarily you work in the area of private transport modeling. Additionally you would like to know how to handle the network objects which are required for modeling public transport networks. You will learn the fundamentals of public transport supply modeling. Moreover, how to connect the public transport demand and supply in VISUM will be explained.

This training course serves as the basis for the use of the basic public transport functionality in VISUM. Participation in this course is required for future use of the Technical VISUM support service due to the maintenance contract. Users who are interested in detailed public transport modeling are recommended to attend the two-day Public Transport basic training course which includes both supply and demand.

The course addresses to participants in the VISUM introductory course (Introduction to macroscopic network modeling with VISUM), who want to include components of public transport.

Prerequisites

You have attended the VISUM introductory course (Introduction to macroscopic network modeling with VISUM). According to your professional background or due to your practical experience your are well-grounded in the field of transport planning.
