Short description

Macroscopic modelling of traffic demand is a core application of VISUM.  VISUM therefore offers all the functions needed to build a macroscopic traffic model. This three-day course will first introduce you to the various different modeling methods.  After describing all demand models available in VISUM, the course covers in detail the subjects of model segmentation, data supply, calibration and validation. The actual implementation of these subjects in VISUM is explained and participants practice with a training model. The course provides an introduction to the macroscopic demand modeling, but is also aimed at users who already have experience with macroscopic traffic models and want to deepen their knowledge.

We also offer this training course with the methods VISEM and EVA.

Target group

This course is designed for employees in traffic planning offices, authorities and transport service companies that want to build and apply traffic models.
